Ellie Harold, LLG, KAC, is a lover and
painter of landscapes. While raised in a family with artistic sensibilities
-- her father was a commercial artist and her two brothers were both
encouraged to develop their obvious talents for drawing and painting
-- Ellie did not herself begin painting in earnest until 2003. Since
that time she has become a full-time professional painting and selling
her work internationally. A great fan of the work of Emile A. Gruppé
and Wolf Kahn, she seeks to employ her innate sense of color and strong
compositional design to repesent the spiritual and physical beauty of
the world around her. Largely self-taught, Ellie has also studied with
Don Bunse (at the University of Montana), and participated in workshops
led by Armand Cabrera, R. A. Moseley, Dee Beard Dean and Roger Dale
Brown.
Ellie Harold works exclusively in oil,
both outdoors and in the studio. She paints on a regular basis in Vieques,
PR, Matha's Vineyard, MA and Vieques, PR as well as Cornwall, UK and
in the Atlanta, GA area where she lives.
Ms. Harold is currently represented
by John Collette Fine Art,
Highlands, NC.
